First Date: Dating Rules
Hey guys!
Today I wanted to introduce a new series on the site called First Date.
Like you probably guessed, it’s going to be all about one of the most
exciting AND most nerve-wracking topics in any teenager’s life: dating!
Even if you haven’t gone on your first date yet, you might already be
thinking about where you’ll go, what you’ll wear,
and of course, who your first date will be with! And no matter how
excited you are for your first date, it’s also totally normal to be
nervous about dating—which is why I thought it would be especially
helpful for us to talk about.
For today’s First Date post, I
wanted to talk about the rules your parents have about dating. I’m not
allowed to go on dates alone yet, but Tristan and I can go on group
dates with our friends or family. Even though it’s my mom’s rule, I
think it actually makes a lot of sense because then you aren’t as
nervous and all of your friends can have fun together! I know a lot of
parents have similar rules or won’t let you date until you’re a certain
age. Do your parents have rules about when you’re allowed to date? I’m
curious to know!
